In January 2020, Phoenix Development Fund Limited (PDF) subscribed for a minority investment in Spectainer Pty Ltd (Spectainer), a provider of specialised container solutions, with Lindsay Phillips joining the board.
Spectainer Pty Ltd was founded by Nicholas Press, following 4 years of R&D to create a unique collapsing container, COLLAPSECON. The company designs, produces and commercialises its patent collapsible container. COLLAPSECON is a ‘beyond-smart’ foldable ISO container solution that integrates four empty containers into a single unit, using a patented semi-automated collapsing station. Nicholas Press with over 15 years’ experience in logistics, operations management and capability integration & sustainment. A graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon, Australia, Mr. Press served as a Major in the Australian Defence Force leading many logistical operations whilst being stationed in East Timor, Kuwait, Afghanistan and the UAE.
